The world’s largest! Sinolong New Materials Quanzhou High Performance Film Production Base officially put into operation

On June 19th, a more than 7m biaxial oriented polyamide film (BOPA) production line was successfully put into operation in Quanzhou, marking the official opening of the world’s largest high-performance film production base – Fujian Changsu Production Base,a subsidiary of Sinolong New Materials Co., Ltd.

The total investment of the project exceeds 2.5 billion yuan, and at least eight production lines will be put into operation in the future. After reaching production capacity, it is expected that the annual production capacity will reach 180000 tons, ranking first in the world in terms of production capacity scale. At that time, the total production capacity of high-performance film of Sinolong New Materials will reach nearly 300000 tons, and with a high-performance polyamide material (PA6) project exceeding 400000 tons, the annual total output value of Sinolong New Materials is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan in the future.

Integrating “high-grade, precision and advanced“ into a world-class production line to amplify its value

In the first plant building of Fujian Changsu, a bustling manufacturing scene is spectacular: a fully automated production line over a hundred meters long, with rows of precision manufacturing equipment running at full speed. The crystal clear polyamide slices are quenched through biaxial stretching technology to become a functional film BOPA with a thickness of about 1/4 of the hair. It has excellent oxygen barrier, puncture resistance, tear resistance, and other characteristics, making it new consumer key materials that are indispensable in fields such as big health.

It is known that the line put into operation by Fujian Changsu is the third BOPA production line in the world with a width over 7 meters. It is worth mentioning that the world’s first BOPA production line with a width of over 7 meters also comes from Sinolong New Materials and was put into operation at its Xiamen base in 2022.

In the process of film pulling, the wider the width, the higher the technical difficulty. It is not only necessary to ensure uniform and consistent thickness of the film, but also not to reduce physical properties. “The person in charge of Fujian Changsu said,” We adhere to independent innovation and have formed multiple patented technologies, achieving leading equipment.

The production of Fujian Changsu marks that Sinolong New Materials Quanzhou Base has become the world’s first functional film industry chain integration base.

Previously, Sinolong New Materials has taken the lead in building an integrated industrial chain from upstream raw materials (PA6) to downstream functional film (BOPA). Fujian Changsu production base has successfully opened up the last 100 meters of the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, because the project is built next to the Sinolong New Materials PA6 production base, achieving zero distance of upstream raw materials and downstream film, can fully release the industry “partition wall effect”.

On the one hand, it will form an intensive and efficient green supply chain, including reducing transportation carbon emissions and transportation costs, implementing closed management of raw materials, etc., so as to better ensure product quality, improve supply chain efficiency, and achieve energy saving, emission reduction, cost reduction and efficiency increase. On the other hand, it will form a unique industrial linkage, further improve the frequency and efficiency of upstream and downstream R&D collaborative innovation, and create favorable conditions for the development of more special membrane products, fill market gaps, and make new materials industrial clusters bigger and stronger.
