In so doing, Ultra High Barrier BOPA Film provides a high-performance EVOH core middle layer to achieve an oxygen permeability of <2cc/(·day·atm). The EVOH laminated BOPA film provides barrier capabilities equivalent to rigid metal or glass, while still providing the lightweight convenience of a thin-gauge high barrier solution. Due to the fact that Ultra High Barrier BOPA Film retains its structural integrity under stress, it functions as a flexible and twistable barrier film which is resistant to the stresses of filling and transportation.
Specifically designed for manufacturers looking for a BOPA film to utilise for oxygen sensitive foods, the EHAp model is suitable for products such as guacamole, nuts and coffee. As a result, Ultra High Barrier BOPA Film protects high-fat and acidic content of cheeses, sauces and prepared meats against oxidative spoilage. Unlike traditional coextruded barrier films, which typically require additional thickness to provide similar barrier characteristics, Ultra High Barrier BOPA Film produces the highest possible preservation in a thinner format. This thinner-gauge high barrier solution directly supports sustainability objectives by reducing the amount of material used to create each package without compromising the 9N puncture strength or high clarity (4.0% haze) that is necessary to provide premium shelf appeal for retail packaging.
