From July 12th to 14th, PACKCON 2023, the China Packaging Container Exhibition, was held at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center. The exhibition brought together over 500 packaging container, material, and service design suppliers, attracting approximately 120,000 participants from end-user sectors including food, beverage, daily chemicals, e-commerce logistics, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.

As a leading supplier of high-performance membrane materials, Changsu Industry participated with its star product series, including bio-based biodegradable membrane materials and functional membrane materials, providing a range of innovative material solutions for various end-user brands.

Bio-based Biodegradable Membranes
BiONLY®, a truly green material, was launched by Changsu Industry at the exhibition. BiONLY®, the first domestically produced new bio-based biodegradable membrane material, attracted the attention of many brand owners.
BiONLY®'s raw material, polylactic acid, is derived from bio-based sources, considered a key trend in sustainable packaging. As a biaxially oriented polylactic acid (PLA) film, Baienli® boasts outstanding environmental attributes. It has not only been awarded the "National Green Design Product" honor by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, but has also obtained biodegradability certification from a national authoritative certification body, as well as industrial compostability and bio-based certification from the European authoritative body DIN. The product complies with European and American environmental and food safety regulations.

Baienli®'s controllable degradation characteristics also garnered praise from brand representatives at the event. Through process innovation and formula optimization, Baienli® fully meets product shelf-life requirements. The biaxial stretching process also endows Baienli® with higher strength and mechanical properties, further expanding its application areas.
To date, Baienli®'s environmental footprint extends to numerous fields including airline food, e-commerce logistics, baking and leisure, trendy tea drinks, and consumer electronics. It has successfully provided a series of "green material upgrade solutions" for products from well-known brands such as Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Yili, China Resources, Panpan, China Philatelic Corporation, and OPPO, becoming a "black technology product" that helps brands establish a green and low-carbon image and conduct effective environmental marketing.

At the exhibition, several functional products from Changsu Vector Film® Supamid® also attracted significant attention from brands. For many years, Changsu Industry has continuously promoted the functional upgrade of BOPA (Botanical Packaging Apparatus), and has now launched several functional film products, including EHA® Fresh-Locking, TSA® Tear-Off, and APA Antibacterial, endowing product packaging in numerous fields such as food, beverage, daily chemicals, and pharmaceuticals with excellent "special functions."
EHA® Fresh-Locking, with its excellent high barrier properties, gives packaging a "physical freshness-locking" function, making it one of the effective means to preserve the freshness of food for a long time and extend product shelf life. TSA® Tear-Off, with its easier-to-tear straight-line tear performance, allows various packaging to achieve a "wow, smoother" opening experience without other tools/processes or composite materials. APA Antibacterial effectively inhibits Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, and has passed SGS certification with an antibacterial rate of ≥99.9%, providing safer aseptic protection for food. In the future, Changsu Industry will continue to enrich its product portfolio, providing consumers with more green technology materials that protect health and safety, and bringing more surprises to PACKCON China Packaging Container Exhibition!
